Removing or deleteing MSN Messensger from my ME system

I would like to remove msn messenger totally from my system or make it so I do not
see it when I am online or at boot up time. I do not plan on using msn messenger
for the time being. At lease make it go away temporarily and just place a short cut
on my desk top.
Thank you very much for your help.

Isn't it listed in Add/Remove programs, so you can uninstall it? To keep it from
running, in some versions there are a couple entries you need to select. Start MSN
Messenger and go to tools - options. Under the preferences tab, uncheck both to have
it "run when Windows loads", and "allow this program to run in the background."
