That said, System Restore may be limited due to lack of unused space on the disk drive (now or some point several months ago). If you have done a lot of installs and un-installs recently, system restore will use up a lot of free disk space and start throwing away old restore points. The system hanging when connecting to the Internet is often the sign of either corrupted Windows control files (system restore, automatic updates, etc.) or ADware/Spyware, virus, worms and/or Trojans.
