I was having trouble with my sound card. So I decided to remove it and reinstall it. After I removed it a restarted it, the error cmdnisnt has caused an error in wintrust.dll and will now close came up. When I press close it just sits there and does not finish loading. I have tried reregistering wintrust to no avail. I have downloaded wintrust.dll from the net and will install it eventually but cmdnisnt seems to be the problem. I also do not have the win me cd. What can i do

Try booting in to the system boards BIOS CMOS Setup and locate the PnP/PCI Configuration section. Enable the Reset Configuration Data or ESCD option.

cmdninst errors are usually either Plug and Play configuration errors, PnP device driver errors, or failing PnP hardware.
