IE window popping up when trying to update

When I try to update McAfee virus scan, I always get a IE page saying 'cannot find server'. We also get this screen for no apparent reason when working on the internet. We always have to select a 'don't send' message to get rid of it, but it keeps happening. I have installed Mozilla Firefox as our browser, and I thought I had gotten rid of IE. Why is this happening and what can I do to make it go away -for good! Thanks!

if you are using a different Browser from IE you will have to make that Browser,in
your case Firefox, the Default Browser.IE will stay on your Machine and dont try
to remove it since it will cause all kinds of Problems and you still need IE for
the occasional M$ Update. W.
