AVG has detected Dialer 8AA and Downloader Winshow BC and Downloader Small15AZ on drive C. It trys to heal/remove but they replicate. Am also getting Firewall Alerts (kerio) that rogue programs eg ssdpsrv.exe // xpsp2fw.exe // rpcss.exe // lexpps.exe // mstasks , msupdsrv , msxmidi , msrstr want to connect to web sites or vise-versa ("Deny" all). Have my"HomePage" locked so it won't change. Have tried various Ad removers - Adaware,Noadware(trial),Spysweeper(trial),CWshedder,a2, Spybot - non can permanently remove anything above and now Z-Demon has has infected Spybot and stopped it doing a comple scan. Generally, the system is running ok. Question: Is there a cure for all this - if so what & how (keep it simple like me !) or am I destined to "download" the lot to a suitable receptical.

Noadware is a rogue product, see Rogue/Suspect Anti-Spyware Products & Web Sites depending though on what version you have or are trying, (i still wouldn't chance it imo)

per rogue list

"Note on NoAdware: NoAdware was listed on this page because of concerns with false positives and the use of aggressive, deceptive advertising including exploitation of the name "ad-aware" . Earlier versions of NoAdware were also the same underlying application as Adware Hitman, Consumer Identity, Protect Your Identity, SpyBan, SpywareAssasin, Spyware C.O.P., SpywareKilla, The Adware Hunter, & TheSpywareKiller. Over the past few months, NoAdware has taken aggressive steps to reign in its affiliates (who were primarily responsible for the unsavory advertising) and released a new version of NoAdware (version 3.0) that addresses our concerns with false positves. Given these changes we can no longer regard NoAdware as "rogue/suspect" anti-spyware. (Note: other domains associated with NoAdware include: adware-removal.biz, adwareremoval.net, downloadspybot.com, free-adware-scan.com, sdspybot.com, spybot-spyware.com) "

as for the other problems, first you need to start by
  • clear out temp folders (some temp files may still be in use until next reboot) type in search box *.tmp and delete whatever it finds, and if you have one, C:\Documents and Setting\user name\local settings\temp, empty recycle bin, then Disable System Restore and rescan, possibly in safe mode. utilize some online scanners as well such as...

  • Bit Defender
  • RAV ANTIVIRUS SCAN
  • TrojanScan
  • Panda ActiveScan

    Get
Firefox! it's some what safer to use then IE do to the fact it does not use ActiveX, finally reenable system restore once clean, use SpywareBlaster 3.2 to help keep some junk off of your system.

These are not all rogue or bad programs, mstasks is a legit Windows process, as is
    rpcss.exe (which shouldn't be running unless you're networked. Lexpps.exe is a Lexmark
    printer application.

The previous replies are good, so not to take away from them. To simplify a bit,
lest you're confused by all the options, you should run a virus scan or two. Note:
AV programs can't/don't clean most trojans, but choose to Auto Clean and let it clean
    what it can.

Then run Ad-Aware and/or Spybot S&D at least. Uninstall NoAdware, pronto! To run
Ad-Aware, you need to configure it correctly. I suggest booting into Safe mode to
    run the scan/s.
Starting your computer in Safe mode

Before booting into Safe mode, check in Add/Remove programs and remove any unfamiliar
    applications you didn't install yourself.
Starting your computer in Safe mode

Download the latest reference files for Ad-Aware, after installing it. Once you're
in Safe mode, close all open windows before running the spyware scans. Start AW,
then in the main window: Click Start - under Select a Scan Mode tick Perform full
system scan. Then deselect 'Search for negligible risk entries'. Click Next to start
the scan. When the scan is finished mark everything for removal and get rid of them.

Before running SpyBot Search & Destroy, check for and download updates. Run the "Default
mode" scan. 'Check All' and fix everything labeled in RED.

Reboot normally, and if you still have problems, run HijackThis and paste the log
here in a post. We can take care of the remaining malware applications easier with
a log to go by. In the meantime, if you have any questions, just ask. We'll be glad
    to clarify for you.

Hijack This 1.99 Important...Unzip 'Hijack This' into it's own
folder. Example: C:\HJT. It creates backups, and they're automatically saved
in the same location. Log off and close all open windows. Run 'HJT' and Click "Do
a system scan and save a logfile". It'll automatically open in Notepad. Most of the
entries are legitimate or required entries. Don't fix anything yet. For a
    description of the entries:
HJT Tutorial Then paste the contents of the logfile here in a post.
