I have started using "Hi Jack this". The programme advises me to seek help as to 
what I should block and what I should keep. I have a log file of what this programme 
found. Some of them are obvious like AVG. The obvious ones I am ok with but there 
are a few dodgy looking things that I am not so sure about??? Is there anyone who 
can sort the good, the bad and the ugly for me??? 
The forum advices me not to put the log file on this post unless requeted in a reply 
format.Ta

HijackThis is for finding and solving specific Malware problems, not explaining all the different programs and browser add ons you have installed or fixing problems you don't have.
