BUT it sounds like you did not read all of the instructions that came with the game and verify that your system met all of the requirments. DDRAW.DLL is part of the DirectX software package from Microsoft for supporting games. And many games require the newer versions of DirectX to be installed on your system. Often the CD will have a version of DirectX on it that you can install. But to be safe, you need the latest version of DirectX 9.0c to be installed to avoid the error message you are getting. You should have it installed (or can get it) from the Microsoft Windows Update site. However, this package is quite large and not something you want to download and install if you only have a Dial-Up Internet connection. Best to download DirectX 9.0c Redistributable package on a broadband connected system and copy it to CD. Then use the package to expand it to a work folder, then run its setup program.
