running windows ME and notepad .exe error

Notepad has caused an error in notepad.exe. Notepad will now close. How do I either
delete notepad and install editpadpro into the path or how do i restore notepad.
virus scan was negative. please help

greg, Do a search for notepad.exe and rename it to desktop.old. Download a copy
from this link http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/winfiles.html
to your desktop then copy it to C:\Windows . ---jabuck

greg, That should read rename notepad.exe to notepad.old ---jabuck
