Hello,

I recently had an iss ue with my laptop. I'm running Windows ME on an older thinkpad
(600 I think). Anyway, I accidently deleted some very important files, which left
me unable to boot up. After running scan/reg and restoring things (thanks again),
I find myself unable to use any of my online applications. I'm unsure as to what
I should be looking for and how to fix it. For example, when I try to use Interenet
Explorer, it states that my proxy settings cannot be detected. Any help would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Since I don't know what you deleted...1. Unless using cable don't need proxy in
most cases so tools>internet options>connections>lan settings uncheck detect settings.
2.repair IE through add/remove>repair. 3 reinstall ME
