need display drivers...

I've asked this question before but I've searched all day for the previous answer and can't find it. I think it was Jack who answered before. Anyway... my daughter's computer appears to be in safe mode but it's not because it doesn't say "safe mode" in the corners and we have no sound. We reformatted the drive and now now have the weird screen and no sound. Last time this happened, Jack told me to download something to install the video card and sound card and gave me step-by-step instructions to get the computer back the way it was. Do you know what I'm talking about? Sorry... I don't explain things very well. Sincerely, Jan

If you have a brand name computer (HP, Compaq, DELL, etc.) then find the make and model number of your system (usually on a sticker somewhere) and go to that vendors web site, and under their systems "support" and download section, look up you model number system. They should have video adapter drivers and sound adapter drivers that you can download and install for Windows ME.

Other wise you have to determine the chip set maker of video adapter and of the sound chip maker and go to their web site for the drivers.
