IF the speaker is plugged into the correct plug (you can sometimes get some sound from the wrong one), you can adjust the volume on the speaker itself, if it has power on. There is normally a speaker icon in the SysTray that you can use to adjust Windows sound level. If it is not there, go to Control Panel, Sounds and Multimedia icon, at at the bottom put a check in the "Show volume control on the taskbar" box, and then click Apply. There is also the Sound Volume slider there that you can use to adjust the speaker volume. Once on the SysTray you can Right click on it to bring up the Volume Control panel or one provided by the sound driver software. On some systems, the OEM vendor or other program may have placed its own "Volume Control" program and icon in the SysTray, so look for one of those.
