ME is OK once properly configured. I hardly ever have it crash. Search Google For
Jack Gulleys Web site about ME Fixes. If you read, and apply is information it will
help a lot.

IME, ME was unstable when it was run on cheap or unstable hardware with buggy drivers.
I have observed ME run perfectly on some machines believe it or not (but still good
to reboot once a day due to it's design). On other computers, it was horrible and
I could usually trace it down to buggy bad hardware or software. I would agree though,
that it wasn't MS' best idea for an operating system. There is probably a reason
the machine was free! ;-)

My computer must be one of the cheapest ones around yet I've run ME without any real
problems for nearly 5 years .I do clean out all the unwanted files with CrapCleaner
and defrag with Diskeeper every time I shut down though.
