My friend installed AVG 7.5 on WinMe, before he realized it needed at least Win2000 or better, now, he can't remove it, and has no antivirus program. I haven't got my hands on his computer yet, but I was wondering if anyone has heard of similar situation.

Both AVG 7.5 anti-spyware and 7.5 anti-malware run on 98/ME: http://www3.grisoft.com/doc/29/lng/us/tpl/tpl01?lic=l_asw

AVG works fine with Windows ME.When my McAfee VirusScan ceased updating I uninstalled it and replaced it with AVG.I think that it slows the computer down less than VirusScan and so far I'm happy with it.
