Control Panel error

Well, my inplace instal of ME did not fix this problem: when I try to open control
panel I get a small error window with this message: "AAAAAAAG~??????????????????????"
If I click the OK button, the system changes to a static page and I must do a restart.
Bottom line: I can't open control panel! Any ideas? Thanx

Steve - I found the bad CPL file that was causing the problem. Now, how do I extract
a good file from the system disk? ME does not have an SFC function?

Belay my last! The bad CPL file (PhysX.CPL) comes from a wargame that was installed
by the kids. I will not replace it! Thanx for the good tip on that MS link.
