Convert .eml files

I was sent a bunch of files in .eml format. Is there a way to convert them to another format that can be opened without using M$Outlook? My OS is ME, Outlook Express and Outlook aren't loaded on it because I use all web based email. Thank you! Tom

I'm not positive, but I don't believe you can convert those .EML files without using some type of email client, for starters.

.eml files will open with Microsoft Word, then you can save them as documents. You get the embedded pictures, however if there are any attachments you won't see them. If you open with Notepad or Wordpad you won't see any pictures, but you will get the text and all the headers above the message and the HTML code below it. I would install Outlook Express whilst offline and disable "send and receive messages at startup". Save a lot of grief especially if you get a lot of these files
