Spyware Removal

Need help in removing spyware from my pc, I have a Dell Dimension 4100 with Windows ME as my OS. My browser is being re-directed to foreign porno sites and bombarded to the point that the only way I can stop it is by using control-alt-delete.

On boot-up I get a dialog box that indicates stisvq1.exe has caused an error in STISVSQ1.EXE, stisvsq1.exe will now close. I get the same error for MSQDEVL1.EXE, and lau1-USER.EXE. After closing each I am able to use my pc with no problem, the problem begins when I use Windows explorer to launch the web. I am immediately re-directed to porn sites that flood my pc. I've used Adaware, Spybot, ATF Cleaner, and my Norton AV to try and remove with no success (I've even disabled System restore and started my pc in Safemode and run the cleaning s/w with no success). Also tried STINGER V. 2.6.0 (which seems to be an old version and I can't seem to open the Winzip file after d/l'ing a newer version). I've also deleted the Internet Temp files with no success. Someone please help me!!!

You've got a Trojan infection. Are you running a good antivirus program (like AVG free) and antimalware program (like Spybot Search & Destroy)? They probably would have found it and either blocked it or allowed it's removal. This page (and others) has manual removal insrtuctions and an automatic removal tool at the bottom which is probably faster and safer than manual removal: http://www.spywareremove.com/removeTrojanDownloaderSmallASE.html

Charles, you need to head to a malware support forum, ASAP!

Follow the preliminary cleaning steps on a malware support forum, then post on their
forum for further help. You don't need to purchase anything. Option 1...

OR, post on TechGuy forum, but... Post only on One forum. Good luck.

One of the best ways to help prevent malware infections, is to Stop using
IE as your main browser. Switch to a more secure, less malware prone browser as
your main browser. IE is extremely vulnerable to malware infections.

Firefox and Opera are recommended alternatives by security experts. Additionally,
use a HOSTS file. See the link below for more info.

Larry, that is a Rogue website, which recommends using a program that was previously
on the rogue list. You just need to know what to look for to realize that.

Malware specialists recommend NOT TO use any of those programs.
