Problem in installing windows Me

Hi, my computer has 2 partitions, C is NTFS and D is FAT32. I've already had WinXP on drive C, I want to install Windows Me on drive D. But when I started my computer with the Windows Me CD, after scanning disk, it showed a error message and I couldn't complete the installation. It told that drive C is formated in NTFS. I want to install WinMe on drive D and keep WinXP on drive C. Please show me how.

ME needs to be on C Partition. That is the way it was made.

Steve is correct. Win 9X systems require a primary partition that will boot as the
C drive. Only a third party boot manager capable of hiding primary partitions and
making other partitions active will get you past this limitation. You won't be able
to see the other partitions if you do this though IME..
