how do i resize pictures in outlook express. when I select insert, picture, it floods the whole email area. Thanks for the help.

Outlook Express has no resize function, at least that I am aware of.  You will need 
to use a graphics program or utility (usually third party) to adjust size/DPI etc, 
before attaching or inserting.  Some scanners and/or graphics programs for instance, 
will do it in their own software, when you click to "email it" for example, it automatically 
scales and adjust the size/DPI for a smaller size.  It isn't a function of OE..

I think you have to re-size before you insert. I use a free picture orginzer from Google. I think it is a wonderful tool. Plus many other things, it will automatically re-size pictures. It is also a album organizer and has some picture capabilities to crop and red eye. Try it.. http://picasa.google.com/

Actually, you can size pics within OE. Just click the image and move your cursor to one of the corners. When the double arrow appears, click and drag diagonally. :)
