ok when i lower my system restore space to like 866,when i restart it's back up to
6832. how can i keep it lower?

Turn off Restore, then Reboot. That should allow you to reset it.

thanks steve, i fixed it by renameing the wininit.ini file in system folder and changing
from desktop to network server. now all i have to figure out is this damn numlock
thing.

Numlock is usually controlled by a setting in the BIOS. Reboot and press DEL during
the power-on self test to enter the BIOS screen.
