Keep a Restore Point for my clean install?

Huge thanks to all who contribute to this forum! Searching the strings allowed me to salvage an inherited, and badly used, computer. Now that I have a clean install with updates, etc. as instructed, how can I keep it as a Restore Point, while still setting Restore Points when trying something new?

Thanks, Steve...that's what I was afraid of. Didn't think far enough ahead. Here's a link to freeware I used previously with XP to install a bigger HDD and keep the small one as an OS backup. It worked well. It's meant to work with ME, too. http://www.xxclone.com/iwhatis.htm

ME's System Restore just suppose to be used for the occasional small System Problem, even then it doesn't work all the time.
