Keep a Restore Point for my clean install?

Huge thanks to all who contribute to this forum! Searching the strings allowed me
to salvage an inherited, and badly used, computer.
Now that I have a clean install with updates, etc. as instructed, how can I keep
it as a Restore Point, while still setting Restore Points when trying something new?

Thanks, Steve...that's what I was afraid of. Didn't think far enough ahead. Here's
a link to freeware I used previously with XP to install a bigger HDD and keep the
small one as an OS backup. It worked well. It's meant to work with ME, too.

ME's System Restore just suppose to be used for the occasional small System Problem,
even then it doesn't work all the time.
