If the default Windows Drivers don't fully operate all the Buttons, then you need to go to Somewheres Web site to get the complete Driver setup.

Basic Windows Drivers should work Left, and right Click Buttons, and the Scroll Wheel. If is doesn't, then I would be inclined to think the Mouse is bad. You could try uninstalling the Mouse in the Device Manager, and then reboot. Windows will reload the Driver, and see what happens.

If three-button mouse functionality is configured correctly, you can use the middle
mouse button to scroll Web pages in Internet Explorer. To do so, position the mouse
pointer on the Web page, and then click the middle mouse button. This causes a circle
with arrows to be displayed. Moving the mouse pointer in the direction of an arrow
scrolls the Web page in that direction. To disable this functionality, click the
middle mouse button again.
