Right-click on the Internet Explorer shortcut on the Desktop, and select (i.e. click
on) "Properties".
The "Properties" dialogue box will open. On the Shortcut tab, in the "Run" box select
"Maximise" (in place of the default setting "Normal window"); then click "Apply"
followed by "Okay".
Double-clicking that shortcut will then open the IE window maximised. In future,
always use that shortcut to run Internet Explorer.
