Outlook Express - Last-modified date or time is invalid

I use Outlook Express for my e-mails (currently I'm using OE6).
I've had a minor annoyance for ever with this program, even when I used earlier versions
of it (e.g. OE5). Running my regular fortnightly check with ScanDisk for Windows,
ScanDisk inevitably gives the following error message:
Scandisk Found an Error on Drive C:
The 'C:\Program Files\Outlook Express' folder contains incorrect information about
'xxxxxxxx.dbx'
This file or folder's last modified date or time is invalid or is in the future.
This may be because your computer's clock is set incorrectly.
ScanDisk repairs future dates by changing them to your computer's
current date setting. ScanDisk repairs out-of-range dates or time by
changing them to the nearest setting within the valid range.
Each time, a different .dbx file is referred to, and sometimes more than one .dbx
file shows the error. No other file on disk ever shows a problem, and I've become
used to the fact that Outlook Express causes this fault. One of life's little annoyances!
Clearly, it's nothing serious. I choose the "fix it" option, and ScanDisk fixes it.
But I would be interested in any suggestions that might stop it happening. I never
lose any data, but after many years have never found a solution to the problem either.
Anyone know what causes it?
Ed
