I have a problem with msn starting up at the lower right hand side of tool bar ever time I open outlook express. In my account it does not show up but in the wifes and the kids accounts it shows up. I do not have msn chat or any other chat programs on my computer. Because I have had problems when the kids use it I get virus's and computer crahses. So I just eleminate that problem.I have went to each account and unchecked the box from starting msn. Still it pops up, that little icon right next to the clock. I want to stop this from happening because I don't want my kids to set it up and my computer crash again. Please help.

If it is not installed then it can't be used. The Messenger Icon in System tray may just be a leftover from a past install. If Messenger does still open, then you could reinstall it to repair the Uninstall function, or remove it manually, by deleting the Messenger Folder in the Program Folder, any shortcuts left in program Menu, and manually editing the registry of any Messenger remnants.
