My Ohio sister says she can't do it on her ME O/S....so when I send her emails with color, the font color comes through but not any colored background. Is that feature not possible with ME??

What is she using to open her emails, Outlook or Outlook Express?

With either of these you need to check in the Format menu that Rich Text 
(HTML) is checked not the Plain Text. Then she can change the text colours/font/size 
in the Format\Font menu.

It depends on the email program she's using, nothing to do with ME or any other OS.

I forget to add, to change the background colour you need to use Format\Background\Color

She says, cannot find 'Format' on task bar although I have it on Windows XP......does ME even have Format? Thanks everyone.

Its not a matter of ME having a Format. If she's using Outlook or Outlook Express 
its that program that shows the Format option.

If she is running IE6.0 SP1 then I would try to uninstall IE6 from Add/Remove in 
Control Panel and select Repair Internet Explorer or Add Componets and just reinstall. 
OE6 is installed with IE6 installation.

In the years I've been using OE6 I've never had any problems with, onmly problems 
with IE6.
