I have a Intel Pentium III, 256 Ram eMachines Computer with Windows ME. Can I use Windows XP Home Edition OEM Version to load Windows XP on my Computer? The package says FOR DISTRIBUTION ONLY WITH A NEW PC. I'm concern about Ativation problems.

If the CD had not been recently activated on some other Computer, and your Product Key matches the type XP copy you have, then it will probably work. No sure answer until you try. The OEM CD's I have used won't upgrade, you have to do a Clean install anyway, so if it doesn't work then you just reinstall ME, or buy another Working Copy of XP
