Type 'explorer' (no quotes) in the shortcut wizard and click Next (twice I believe) to finish it off and it should open explorer on your C:\ or wherever you have your operating system installed (mine opens to D:\) I then toss the shortcut onto my Quick Launch bar for easy access since I use it more frequently than any other software. First response did the trick. Also tried the "Create new SHortcut" trick, those this did the same thing as the shortcut I already had - opens to My Documents. The command line switches worked well. If only there was some place you could easily find out about them.
