Every now and then a "Windows Protection Error" message comes up during the
startup and shut down proccess in Windows Me. I tried to look for a fix or a patch
but I could not find it. If anyone knows how to fix the problem please post a message
or e-mail me. Thanks.

I'm getting this "windows protection" message - on a blue screen - but only at shutdown, 
when I'm prompted to restart the computer.  I've finally resorted to just turning 
off the power and expecting it to run scandisk next time I start up.  I can't find 
ANY information about this - so any help would be appreciated.  Email me at cherrycreeksouth@yahoo.com, 
post a message, send a carrier pigeon, anything would be appreciated!!

This just in! I found an article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base at http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q149/9/62.asp?LN=EN-US&SD=gn&FR=0&qry=windows%20protection&rnk=4&src=DHCS_MSPSS_gn_SRCH&SPR=WINME According to this article, the problem may be related to Virtual Device Drivers - if anyone has any experience with the suggestions in this article I'd like to know. Thanks!!

I HAVE ALSO HAD THIS PROBLEM , I HAD TO UPDATE MY VIDEO DRIVER FROM NAVIDIA IT WAS A BAD DRIVER . THAT WAS A YEAR AGO, & SO FAR IT IS OK.
