Alrihgt here is the deal. I installed a Creative Ensoniq PCI sound card in my machine
last night, worked beautifully, much better than the on board garbage. Thru several
reboots the machine was fine and dandy. Booted the computer up this morning to check
email and it was fine. Shut down, did the dishes, floors, blah blah then came back
to the machine and turned it on, would get to the windows screen and hold, altho
blue line continued to move, until I pulled the card out of my machine, thoughts??
Ideas? Suggestions? Please!!!! I hate this ESS onboard and want the Ensoniq in.

it would seem to be an IRQ conflict. try it in different PCI slots, and also try
disabling things you don't need in Device Manager (eg USB if you're not using it)-
to get to Device Manager, right click on My Computer and choose properties- it's
the second tab. careful because some of the devices are needed...
also make sure you have the latest drivers from the creative site.
