1. Yes, it is like ME right now in that it is not very stable, but it is a much more advanced interface than ME.
2. Yes and No. It is still NT-based but it has new "features." The usefulness of these features is up for debate.
3. You will want at least 512, I recommend 1 gig.
4. It uses resources, yes, but as long as your video card can handle it and you are set for RAM then you will be fine. If you find your system can't handle it just start turning off effects until it is more usable.
5. Yes, read the article you linked to.
6. My company has an MSDN release of Vista. Do I think it wil be ready in time? Yes, although I forget right now what the current "deadline" is. Will it still be buggy? Yes, just look at XP, it is continually being patched.
