Hi,
Thanks for the response. I don't have an antivirus installed yet, so that's not
quite the same problem... When I first installed Vista, I did a clean install so
it kept XP on my computer, too (with a host of games and other large programs).
At first I thought the problem was a lack of available hard drive space, so I wiped
the hard drive and did a fresh install of XP, ran all the XP updates, then did a
simple XP to Vista upgrade. Nothing's on the computer except Vista now, but the
hard drive continues to pause the computer every second. Working on the computer
is like watching a movie while pausing it and starting it again every second.
Maybe it's just as simple as playing around with some settings... Anyone else run
into this problem?
Thanks! I love these forums; always helpful people here.
