Gene, Your ram might be your main culprit. 256 mb is well below recommended minimum for Vista. I used 388 on one Beta 2 installation and it ran very slow. The 1 gb is the recommend minimum ram level. Also, ditch that Celeron chip and get a P4 or good AMD cpu. --Ray B
