Marty,
I've failed to install both Visioneer 4400 and Visioneer 7300...tried all possible
variations.
But then I installed a low-end Canon scanner (don't have model number here), and
went without a hitch.
As the other responder suggested, it may be a simple incompatibility problem, and/or
no drivers from Visioneer will work for this Vista installation.
I know that in XP-Pro, there were always substitute Twain drivers that seemed to
take over by default before installing the standard Visioneer drivers.
