I am using a Radeon 9800 pro, and Areo works OK. Areo Glass needs a 3D card that supports DirectX 9, and it must have a Longhorn Display Driver Model (LDDM) driver. ATI makes LDDM drivers available for a number of their video card models. Check out the ATI site. Chances are your Card is below the needs to run Aero Glass, but it is hard to find printed info on what cards work, and what don't.
