Networking question

I have had to reload the OS (RC1) and made two attempts to add to my home network. On the first, if I remember correctly, I had to create a guest account in order to be able access the vista machine. On the second, as I did not want a guest account, I enabled public folder sharing but this made almost everything in the account visible (very scary). I have also seen references to people attempting and successfully mapping on the web. My questions are regarding the format of networking element of vista for the final release if anyone hear knows. Will there be a network setup wizard as in XP? Will a shared folder be set by default? Will the overal methodology be similar to XP? Or can someone tell where I might get such or other answers on the networking side of vista? Unless there are secuity or operability issues I personally think that changing or omitting some previous parts as above would be a backward step. Thanks Alex
