Yep, you're supposed to reinstall them all. There are three reasons for that: 1) Many programs drop stuff in your \windows(\system32) folder in addition to the programs folder 2) Most programs put entries in your registry 3) Many programs that work OK on XP won't work on Vista so you'll need to update/change/dump them.
