Thanks for the reply, Steve. According to the link you provided, I should not boot from the Vista DVD. Rather, I should install from a running XP installation. Unfortunately, my version of XP is the 32 bit version. You cannot run the Vista 64 bit install program from Windows 32 bit. So, I decided to install it to a separate drive. I was able to install successfully, although I have suffered one BSOD while running Vista (0x0000001D). For the most part it has been running fairly decent. We'll have to wait and see for how long. Thanks again.
