Vista RAM "sweet spot" is definitely 1GB

My Vista PC was running one module of 512MB RAM because at the time I built it, there
were no good deals on RAM and I was in no big hurry to play with Vista at the moment.
However, since RC2 was distributed I have been using the Vista PC more and more for
general computing. This week a local big box retailer had a good deal on PNY DDR2
PC667 Dual Channel RAM ($79.99 after rebate) so I picked up a pair and installed.
Quantitatively, the PC's Windows Experience Index went from 2.9 to 4.5, which is
a pretty nice jolt. IE almost pops open with four home pages and the Aero effect
is now active.
