I have similar problems with the GA-K8NXP-SLI- no mass storage (thumb drive, USB
HD, Camera, flash memory) are recognized when using any of the (10) on-board USB
ports. However, they do work through either of the add-in USB cards I have installed.
All other devices (printers, PDAs, webcams, etc) seem to work fine from the on-board
ports- it is just MSD devices through the (nForce4?) on-board USB ports that are
giving me grief.
I formatted Vista and went back to XP and all of the ports work fine. I did a
new install (on a different HD that I put in a drive swap cage) and the problems
are still there- it is definatly Vista specific.
Anyone heard any official solutions to this problem?
Thanks,
Bruce
