Hi I found a solution to this problem, I think the problem is that windows isnt checking
the generic drivers that are installed with Vista.
Here is the solution:
1. Connect your drive
2. When prompted that windows needs a driver click "locate and install driver software"
3. Once you are prompted for the disc click "I dont have the disc. Show me other
options."
4. Now click on "Browse my computer for driver software"
5. In the box type in the location of your system32 directory.. (in mine and most
cases it will be "C:\Windows\System32" ) MAKE SURE the Include subfolders box is
ticked and click next.
6. Windows will find the driver and install it..
7. Windows may ask you for the disc a few more times, just follow steps 3 to 5 again
and the drivers will install perfectly.
This is probably just one of the may bug in vista.. I am happy I found a solution
for it though and I'm sure you will be too.
enjoy!!
