hi marty, on the subject of itunes...it runs absolutely fine, and i also suggest
that when do you install vista you get the extra free gadget for the sidebar called
"itunes controller". it shows the information of what your playing along with artwork
and looks very nice in the sidebar..not a neccesity but very handy :)
as the other poster said, even when you perform a clean install, nothing is deleted,
it gets automatically backed up for you, and this does include my documents, favourites
etc..
Finally, if the upgrade advisor says its ok, go for it. I had the same message about
windows blinds, but the skin i used in it was quite similar to aero (transparency)
etc, so this is of no loss whatsoever, and i imagine if you still wanted it stardock
will have an update soon, as as far as i know, stardock, wincustomize and microsoft
have some new fangled relationship going on as partners or something! i wish i had
got ultimate purely for dreamscene now, but paying an extra £100 for an upgrade that
adds moving desktop backgrounds seemed a bit silly in my case :)
Also, i havent had really a single problem with vista yet touchwood. Ive been running
since tuesday morning...not one fatal error, blue screen, crash or program exit.
There are one two things where options seem to be changing themselves without me
knowing, although they could be directly caused by other settings ive made. Personally
i think the jump to vista is well worth it, all this negative press going about about
vista at the mo doesnt really seem justified...as to be far its far more secure and
more feature rich than even the most up to date version of XP.
