Program Compatibility Assistant Notifications

Any way to shut the notification service off? On reboot, it notifies me about a driver
that has no Vista update now. Deleting the offending driver is not an option. The
service causes pop ups from the task bar and the desktop. Each pop up has to be closed
7 times before it stops. Will stay off until next reboot. I've tried disabling it
in Services, and in Program Configuration. No luck. Keeps coming back. I'm getting
close to ripping it out of the registry. But, I'd prefer to disable it more gently
if anyone has a better solution. Thanks for any help anyone can render. :-)
