movie maker won't import mp3

I don't understand I just bought new computer with windows vista installed on it
and I cannot import my mp3's into windows movie maker it say's
"C:\Users\HELL\Music\Fall Out Boy - This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race.mp3 could
not be imported. Unspecified error"
It will let me import windows sample music though and they are "Windows Media Audio
file (.wma)". I have used these songs on my old computer with windows XP moive maker!
I am at a total lost. Can someone please direct me to how to fix this problem?
