System Information not displaying system information. Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at 10:22 am Windows Vista Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Kirk Heller (64 messages posted) Windows System Information is not displaying any hardware or software information. This is also true of the Basic Information About Your computer screen. It lists RAM and Processor as Unknown. This appears to be a problem with the winmgmt service (which IS running in services, I checked). Additionally, I had the system rebuild the repository in c:\windows\system32\wbem\Repository and it STILL won't display any information. The error in System Information reads: Can't Collect Information. Cannot access the Windows Management Instrumentation Software. Windows Management files may be moved or missing. At this point I think those files ARE missing. Anyone have any idea what they are?
