I have the same exact problem. Program Compatibility Assistant says Sonic Solutions
driver is blocked. I went to MMC, Services, and turned off noticification, added
DLA to the list, and even deleted DLA from the system --all to no avail. I still
get the error notice on startup. Ridiculous. The notice interferes with Sidebar as
you said. In addition, I am now getting an error that MMC snapin isn't working when
I try to open Services.
