Hi all. Was forced to buy a new computer and am now on my third one this week (two Gateways had the DVD-Rom drive stop working after two days...they couldn't figure out why) Anyway, I have an HP a1720n and am trying to import video files from my external hard drive to the windows movie maker. Along with the endless series of rundll32 errors that I get as it tries to load thumbnails (major annoyance)...I then get a message saying whatever video I'm trying to import "cannot be imported. unspecified error". I am trying to import videos of the correct format...however it simply will not work. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. I've been scanning all over online to find a solution to this problem and have come up empty.
