Making a Dual Boot Laptop would not be easy for you. You would need to see if the Laptop has XP Drivers, then if so Wipe out the Vista Install, and install XP, During the Install make 2 Partitions. Install XP on the First one. Then Install Vista on the Second Partition. If your Vista DVD is a System Restore Disk it won't work. You would need a MS Vista Install Disk.

If you get this far just use Google for more Details. Lots of Web sites already have dual Boot information.
