some suppliers have been very slow with drivers/compatible programs for Vista. I'm
not sure how much of the 'not working' hardware will run in a virtual XP install
- but probably all of it (though dual boot to be sure). If your XP is still running
on 'old' Dell machine, you won't be able to activate it in virtual machine - though
not sure what you mean by 'reinstallation disk'. If that's a recovery disk (NOT an
XP install disk), it won't work - its designed for the dell machine only. If its
an install disk with key, then my previous comment applies.
