THIS IS FOR THE VISTA OS USING IE7!!!

I had this problem using my new Vista program with IE7. I went to a website and
every time I clicked on a link to email someone, I got the error message that "Cannot
perform this operation because the default mail client is not installed", then, when
I clicked OK, at least 20-30 windows would pop open. I checked every setting and
Windows Mail was the default program.

So, after exploring, I found the culprit. If you will go to "Tools" in IE7, then
click "Internet Options". Find the Programs tab at the top and click "Set Programs".
Then, click on "Set Program Access and Computer Defaults" at the bottom. Click
on the doble arrows on the right of the custom radio button and scroll down to "Choose
a Default Email Program." Click the radio button next to Windows Mail or OE and
click OK.

That should work. The procedure is the same in XP, but might be a bit different.
I hope this helps anyone out there having this problem. Let me know!
