I have the exact same problem and calling Logitech resulted in a waste of another
hour...
They don't admit they have a problem and if you don't know what you are doing their
tech support would send you on wild goose chases and goble up endless time troubleshooting
with useless tasks.
Calling Logitech I got every technical deflection possible from them, and frankly
they just didn't listen to my issue.
Logitech, please fix your MX5000 on Vista UAC!
